Roasted chickpeas have been a long time favorite snack of mine. It’s so easy for me to throw them in the oven and have a crunchy snack right in time for a movie. I love to make extra to top my salads at lunch for the next day too. These also make a great snack for a road trip. Chickpeas are a wonderful alternative to potato-based snack because they are full of fiber and protein, which will keep you fuller for longer. I also lover how versatile chickpeas are, which is why we seasoned them three ways! Try all three and tell us your favorite!

 

Roasted Chickpeas 3 Ways

About 3 servings

 

Ingredients:

1 (15.5 oz) can of chickpeas, drained and rinse

Choose one of the following flavors below for seasoning:

 

— Savory:

1 T smoked paprika

1 T chili powder

1 T garlic powder

¼ tsp salt

savory

 

— Sweet:

1 T cinnamon

2 T brown sugar

sweet

 

— Sesame:

1 T garlic powder

1 T sesame seeds

1 T lite soy sauce

sesame

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degree
  2. Toss chickpeas in choice of seasoning blend from above
  3. Spread out coated chickpeas onto baking sheet
  4. Bake for total of 40 minutes, stirring halfway through.
